Exploring Unintended Consequences

What might be the positive and negative consequences of this Requests & Offers HC/MVP in the Holochain Ecosystem?

We want to keep in mind that sometimes applications are built without really thinking through potential externalities or negative consequences. We want to take a breath and think this through.

Examples of possible externalities:

  • Participant Liability Waivers

  • How to protect hAppenings.community from liability for exchanges that go wrong

  • Programming of hApp and Privacy Statements to assure members of the security of their data

  • Advocates might feel less valued because there are more offers than there are requests, or their experience may be less than they expect.
